Are You Ready?

... that Yahweh your God may tell us the way we should walk and the thing we should do. - Jeremiah 42:3

A group of leaders once approached the prophet Jeremiah and expressed a desire to have God give them guidance for the future. After they presented their request, Jeremiah agreed to take it before the Lord. The people then gave their unequivocal consent to whatever God's direction, expressed through Jeremiah, implied.

Then they proceeded to ignore it completely!

Wouldn't it be great if God would tell you exactly where to walk and what to do?

Listen, your response will probably determine His. The people wanted God to show them where to go, but God wanted to know if the people were willing to go wherever He would send them.

Will you go wherever God sends? Don't ask if you aren't ready for the answer.

Isaiah (6:8) said, "Then I heard the voice of Yahweh saying: Who should I send? Who will go for Us?"
