Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, whose confidence indeed is Yahweh. - Jeremiah 17:7

We like to be blessed by God.
As Americans, we often invoke that blessing (as in, God Bless America!). The question is, "How can a person or a country be assured of God's blessing?"
Well, it seems, this verse tells us.
God will bless the person or country that trusts Him. In other words, in order to say, "God Bless Us!", we first must be able to say, "In God We Trust." Neither a nation nor a person should be able to rely upon the blessing of God, if that nation or person has not first put her trust in God.
We can place it on every piece of currency we issue, but what difference will it make if we truly don't trust in God?
Thomas Carlyle said, "The battle that never ends is the battle of belief against unbelief."
