Honestly Honest?

Can you say, in all honesty, that you are an honest person?

Truth is one of God's attributes and therefore it should also be a character trait of all those who are called His children. A person might just as easily separate light from the sun as separate a Christ-follower from truth. Believers should be honest, forthright, and trustworthy.

If then a person's life is marked by dishonesty, then it is reasonable to assume that they have no claim to a relationship with Christ. While everyone lies (or has lied), a life full of lies is just not of God. Even if a follower of Christ lost everything else in this world, truth would remain with them forever.

The truth is sustainable! A lie is unsustainable and eventually exposed through time. A lie can't "face" the truth because of guilt and the liar will try to detach himself through avoidance. - Carl Stoynoff
