Get On It

This is why, if I come, I will remind him of the works he is doing, slandering us with malicious words. And he is not satisfied with that! He not only refuses to welcome the brothers himself, but he even stops those who want to do so and expels them from the church. - 3 John 10

I have never met anyone who really "liked" conflict; however, conflict has always been a part of the life and church. There will always be differences of opinion between one person and another, and church members are (for most part) just "people." Now, they should be "sanctified" people, but even "holy ones" can find disagreement (i.e., Paul and Barnabas). So, the question is not, "Will there be conflict?" but rather, "How will we handle conflict when it comes?"

Whatever a person decides to do when an argument arises, his or her decision needs to glorify God. Both the action, and the attitude behind the action, should be righteous and holy before the Lord or He will not receive the glory He deserves.

There is really only one side in every fight,

God's side. Get on it.

The passions are the same in every conflict, large or small. - Mason Cooley
