How Do I Look?

Dear friends, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him as He is. - 1 John 3:2

A few years ago, my daughter found some old photographs, scanned them, and posted them on Facebook. She also "tagged" them so everyone knew to look for my face. Apparently, some of those in the old photos didn't want others to see them and "untagged" themselves. I didn't really care, but then again I happen to be very handsome (that is a joke!).
Actually, one of the things I noticed about myself then, and continue to notice as I look in the mirror, is how much I have begun to look like my parents and even my grandparents! I really don't mind, it is just funny.
The Bible clearly teaches that as a Christ-follower, I should also be growing in the likeness of my Savior. In other words, if there was such a thing as a "spiritual" camera, the snapshots should reveal a life growing more reflective of the Master's character.
Of course, if such a camera existed, I bet a lot of those pics would be "untagged," too!
Old age is like everything else. To make a success of it, you've got to start young. - Fred Astaire
