Jesus, Son of God

The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. The one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given about His Son. - 1 John 5:10

Have you ever called someone a liar? Has anyone ever called you one?

I was called a liar once, publicly. It wasn't fun. The man was angry at me and didn't have all the facts. When he realized his error, he apologized and asked forgiveness. It was a very unpleasant series of events that eventually (thankfully) resulted in God being glorified.

The Gospels record that God called Jesus His Son; therefore, if a person refuses to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, then that person is either calling God a liar or denying the veracity of the written accounts. You cannot say that you believe in God (by any name) and at the same time deny that Jesus is God's Son. It is impossible, illogical, and unreasonable, no matter who you are or where you live.

"You are no saint," says the devil. Well, if I am not, I am a sinner, and Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. Sink or swim, I go to Him; other hope, I have none. - Charles Spurgeon
