One Wish

I have asked one thing from Yahweh; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of Yahweh and seeking Him in His temple. - Psalm 27:4

There once was a television commercial where a "genie" offered a family three wishes each. When the dad's turn arrived he asked for a thousand wishes, but the genie heard, "witches." Oops.
Of course, genie's aren't real, but God sure is and we all ask Him for stuff just about every day. Some even erroneously treat Him as if He came from some sort of magic lamp. What if, however, you could only ask God for one thing? What would that one thing be? And what if you could only ask it for yourself?
David asked that he might dwell in God's presence all the days of his life. This was (at least for the moment) his one thing. Why? Perhaps it was because David understood the eternal principle that with God all things are possible and without Him all that is possible is pointless.
If a godly wish is indeed a prayer, what then should your one wish be?
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” - Matthew 19:26
