... what we have seen and heard we also declare to you, so that you may have fellowship along with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. - 1 John 1:3

"What a fellowship! What a joy divine, leaning on the everlasting arms."
So goes the old hymn, so goes the Christian life, right? Some good friends and family lost loved ones in past few weeks and I am sure that in the days and weeks to come they will continue to grieve these precious losses. When such times come, and indeed they come for us all. How do we endure them?
We endure them "together."
A church with Christ is a blessing. A church without Christ is nothing. I don't know what your church is like, but it should be a tight (yet open) community, a family, a group of supportive loved ones, united in the common experience of God's amazing grace. There is nothing else like it in history or in the world today and I sure hope you have it.
If not, be the catalyst that starts it.
The city's contradictions and frailties drive me to the church. The church, in turn, binds my wounds and soothes my troubled heart, and sends me right back out into the city again. - Steve Ross
