The king inquired, "What honor and special recognition have been given to Mordecai for this [act]?" The king's personal attendants replied, "Nothing has been done for him." - Esther 6:3

There have been a few times in my life when I thought that I deserved some recognition for something I had done, but I didn't receive any. As a result, I felt unappreciated, disappointed, and even a little angry.
Have you ever felt that way?
Mordecai performed a great service for the king of Babylon (he saved his life), but initially he received no recognition for it (perhaps because he never tried to get it). On the other hand, God did not forget what Mordecai had done and at just the right moment (and in a way that accomplished His own divine purpose) God reminded the king of Mordecai's service resulting in a huge reward and blessing.
Trust God. He knows all about your service and He will reward you when He is ready, and you are ready to give Him the glory! The reward for your faithful service to the Lord will certainly come one day, and that will be from the King himself!
Every act of virtue is an ingredient unto reward. - Jeremy Taylor
