Therefore they called these days Purim, after the term Pur. - Esther 9:26

I have a messianic Jewish friend who served as a church planter missionary for many years in Belarus. We first met in the early 90's. By faith, he relocated his family to the former Soviet Union to present the gospel to the Jewish people. In order to present the Good News, he (along with his entire family) wrote and presented a play based upon the life of Esther and the Feast of Purim. It is a wonderful story of God's amazing deliverance and a great segue into the message of Yeshua (Jesus).
As the Jews of Esther's day faced a death sentence, so does all humanity today. As God delivered Esther's people, He can also deliver you, if you will only place your trust in His Son, Jesus. It is truly a cause to celebrate!
May all of God's chosen people see that their Messiah has already come.
What Jesus did was not a mere example of something else, not a mere manifestation of some larger truth; it was itself the climactic event and fact of cosmic history. From then on everything is different. The end came forward into the present in Jesus the Messiah. - N. T. Wright
