While in Africa, I heard them called "Biz-Fac," "Fin-Fac," and "BF." Our partnering missions agency was almost like the military in their penchant for acronyms and shortened titles, but I soon learned that we could not accomplish our ministry without the assistance of our "LC." An LC was a Logistics Coordinator and they handled much of the "business" end of being a missionary. Perhaps we could do it ourselves, but it would take much more time and effort on our part to learn how, and this would take away time from the field work. Fact is, we could all use help in some way and we often seek out others for it.

Spiritually, there is something neither you nor I can do. We cannot erase the stain of sin. Yet, Jesus can. He is our Advocate, Paraclete, Defender, Mediator, Intercessor, and Helper. Without Him, we would be well, lost. So, once again, thank you, Jesus (JC) for doing that which we could never do for ourselves.

Now for my own case, I bless the Lord that, for all that hath been said of me, my conscience doth not condemn me. I do not say I am free of sin, but I am at peace with God through a slain Mediator; and I believe that there is no salvation but only in Christ. - Donald Cargill
