A Good Reminder

Our God is coming; He will not be silent! Devouring fire precedes Him, and a storm rages around Him. On high, He summons heaven and earth in order to judge His people. - Psalm 50:3-4

Do you ever get a little overwhelmed or depressed by the news here in the U.S., or like others, do you just ignore it?

This morning as I was doing my regular morning online "check-in", I found myself wishing I could just escape and go live somewhere else. As a person who holds to a biblical faith and worldview, it is distressing to see that view consistently trashed and often marginalized.

At the same time, desertion is not an option. God has not sounded the call to retreat and He never suggested that the battle would be won on the field of politics. As it has always been, the greatest tool in the offensive arsenal of a Christ-follower is loving truth, lived in close proximity to a world captured by a lie.

Sometimes, we just need to be reminded of God's power. We win, but we must also never fail to give up the fight.
