Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God — God remains in him and he in God. - 1 John 4:15

Is Jesus the Son of God?
Those of us who follow Him should have no trouble affirming this truth, but did you know that for many others this is a huge barrier to their acceptance of Christ as Lord? Multitudes around the world believe that in order for Christ to be the Son of God, then God would have needed to engage in a physical relationship with Mary. In fact, they believe this to be a blasphemous theology (if it were true, yes) and therefore, reject Christ's Sonship. The biblical and historical truth of a virgin birth is unfathomable to them.
Yet, in all their unbelief, they still honor Christ as a great prophet simply because they neither understand nor accept a biblical theology. For if Christ is not the Son of God, who He claimed to be, then how could He be a trustworthy representative of the Supreme Deity?
Often the truths that we take for granted as Christ-followers are not readily accepted by others. Do you know what you believe and why you believe it? We are all theologians. The question is, whether or not we will be biblical ones?
Life isn't like a book. Life isn't logical or sensible or orderly. Life is a mess most of the time. And theology must be lived in the midst of that mess. - Charles Caleb Cotton
