The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn't have the Son of God does not have life. - 1 John 5:12

There are two French phrases that many people know (or have heard) even if they don't speak the language. They are:
1) Comment ça va ?, and
2) C'est la vie!
The first question asks, "How's it going?" and the second seemingly answers, "This is life!" Or, in American vernacular, "It is what it is."
So, how is your life going? Are you really living or just existing? Do you know the difference?
John said that "the one who doesn't have the Son of God does not have life." Meaning that it is possible to exist and still not live, to breathe and not have life. We all live in the midst of the "walking dead." They exist, they breathe but they do not live, because they do not have Christ.
Perhaps those of us who have the abundant life that Jesus promised should offer them the gift we have so freely received.
It's better to be an authentic loser than a false success, and to die alive than to live dead. - William Markiewicz
