And we have this command from Him: the one who loves God must also love his brother. - 1 John 4:21

If you love God you must also love your brother.
Ok, got it, but I have two questions:
How do I know if I really love God?
Who is my "brother?"
In previous posts we looked at what it means to love God and learned that it begins with acceptance of God's love in Christ Jesus, meaning that we can only love, because He first loved us.
Assuming, then, that I love God (because I have accepted that He first loved me), I am then required to love the other members of my "family" (which I believe is implied by "brother").
I must love my brothers and sisters in Christ, my physical family, and other human beings. In fact, I think that I must love them in that order. For if love is not in evidence within the family of God, how can it be truly in evidence anywhere else?
