He Always Keeps His Word

God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His One and Only Son into the world so that we might live through Him. - 1 John 4:9

Often in this life, when someone makes a commitment, we request some sort of proof that he or she will keep it. A person's word must often be followed by an affirmative action that validates the promise. While most people would like to be known as "a person of his/her word," each of us has at one time or another been disappointed when someone has not done what they said they would do. We like it when people keep their word.
I believe that God loves us. It would be enough for me if He had just said so, due to the strength of His promise (after all, He is omnipotent). Yet, He also proved it. God, the Father, gave His only "One-of-a kind" Son in order that we might live (eternally) through Him.
Quite simply, God can be trusted because He will always keep His Word.
When you read, consider that it is God's Word which you read; and that His faithfulness is pledged to fulfill both its promises and threatenings. - Adam Clarke
