No Son, No Father

No one who denies the Son can have the Father; he who confesses the Son has the Father as well. - 1 John 2:23

"Indivisible" is a word used to describe something that cannot be separated into parts, something that is incapable of being divided. The Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag states that our nation is "indivisible," but is it really? Practically anything can be divided if enough force (or an arrangement of force) is brought to bear. Almost anything, but certainly not everything.

Our God is truly "indivisible." Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, though transcendent and beyond comprehension, are a true and Holy Trinity. If you have One, you must then have Them all and if you lack just One, then you most certainly lack Them all. They are utterly indivisible.

All Christianity hinges on the Person and work of Jesus Christ, while every major cult in existence today casts doubt upon the deity of the Savior. Every other world religion is also spiritually bankrupt due to an erroneous understanding (or total disregard) of Jesus' true identity. Of all the things that must be right about our faith, this one irreducible minimum is supreme: "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)." This proves His equality and identification with His Father. This is the gospel.

Let's face it, no Son = no Father = no Holy Spirit = no heaven, and only hell to pay. "Jesus said, ' I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me (John 14:6)." Would you claim the Father? Then it must be through the Son, empowered by the Spirit. Believe and you can receive.

It is a remarkable fact that all the heresies which have arisen in the Christian Church have had a decided tendency to dishonor God and to flatter man. - Charles Spurgeon
