Partnership

Therefore, we ought to support such men, so that we can be co-workers with the truth. - 3 John 8

While serving as missionaries in Africa, my wife and I would sometimes attend meetings of the Baptist pastors in our country. It was an opportunity for us to catch up on country-wide efforts and to also be reminded of the partnership we shared in the ministry there.

It is not possible for one person, even one ministry or denomination, to accomplish all the work that the gospel of Jesus Christ demands in a country (or a city). All those who believe the Bible must work together if we ever expect every person to have an opportunity to hear the Good News. While it is true that we will not agree on everything, we must agree on what is important and must also continue to find a way to partner for the cause of Christ.

Today, let us be thankful for all those "co-workers with the truth" pursuing the ministry of Jesus Christ and instead of looking for those things that divide us, let us unite.
