Rescued Royalty?

Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, including those who pierced Him. And all the families of the earth will mourn over Him. This is certain. Amen. - Revelation 1:7

When Christ returns it will be visible to everyone on earth; a joyous, earth-shattering event for many, but a time of mourning for most. Those who are not redeemed will likely mourn their fate, their ignorance, and their loss, but they will also mourn their misappropriated lives.
Think of the agony of having had the opportunity to live for God's glory (rather than earthly riches) yet settling for much less. To have been born to royalty, yet have lived as a beggar on the street, while beggars on the street who have lived for God's glory enjoy an eternal heavenly existence.
Those who are redeemed wait like princes and princesses with eager anticipation to be delivered from an enemy's domain. Those who are not redeemed think they have already won but will be lost forever. Not all will be "rescued royalty" at the return of Christ, but the question remains, "Will you?"
Christ's lordship is a blessed hope for some and a terrifying nightmare for others. Regardless of our response, it is an unalterable reality. - Paul Washer
