Instruct a wise man, and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man, and he will learn more. - Proverbs 9:9

There are many possible indicators of a person's wisdom. Some, like gray hair and advancing years, may be cultural, while others may be more measurable, like advanced academic degrees.
There is, however, another mark of wisdom that has nothing to do with age or education. In fact, age and education may hinder its development.
It is teachability.
The truly wise will remain teachable. They will cultivate a heartfelt desire to grow in the understanding and knowledge of God made available through His Word and His people. On the other hand, it is the foolish (unwise) man who believes he has "arrived" at a place in life where there is no more to learn.
To be ever-learning is to be truly wise. Remain teachable.
Wisdom doesn't necessarily come with age. Sometimes age just shows up all by itself. - Tom Wilson
